Reflective Inquiry

Reflective Inquiry helps you question yours thoughts and behaviors, breakthrough perceived barriers and move forward in a way that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. As a leader, you want to think out of the box. But like most of us, you get caught in thought loops. Reflective inquiry allows you to see things from a variety of lenses and takes you out of the proverbial “box.”

Your leadership journey can throw a myriad of challenges. You might find yourself working through change management, strategy conundrums, career roadblocks, business development challenges, communication deadlocks, cultural barriers, organizational design constrains, or trust & conflict issues, to name a few. Rarely are these challenges straightforward. Reflective Inquiry helps you examine your challenges deeply, uncover your blindspots, recognize the presence of any deeper issues, think strategically and find creative ways to move forward.

Depending on the leader and the problem we are partnering to solve, I find myself blending conversations as coach with a variety of specialized reflective inquiry approaches. These include Appreciative Inquiry from Positive Psychology, Compassionate Inquiry from Gabor Matte’s research, the Hakomi Method from Ron Kurtz, the Work from Byron Katie and Somatic Inquiries from different somatic modalities.
